St. Clair County Child Abuse and Neglect Council seeks and appreciates help from those in our community who support our mission to prevent and ultimately eliminate child abuse and neglect. We have several opportunities for you to get involved and assist in our prevention efforts in a way that works best for you.
Make a Donation
We appreciate your interest in making a donation to support our mission to prevent and ultimately eliminate child abuse and neglect. Financial and gift in-kind contributions of any size, in any amount are sincerely appreciated.
St. Clair County Child Abuse and Neglect Council is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All contributions made to St. Clair County Child Abuse and Neglect Council are tax-exempt according to the limits of the law and utilized to support local programming efforts. The Council’s finances are audited by a third-party firm and annually and the Board of Directors approves all expenditures.

Be a Star for Kids’ Sake
St. Clair County Child Abuse and Neglect Council offers brushed silver personalized engraved stars as a way to honor someone you love, to say happy birthday or happy anniversary, or just to provide a permanent record of your support for kids. The stars are attractively displayed in the Council’s office building and are an awesome way to honor a friend, family member or group.

If you or your organization would like to fundraise for our agency, please review our fundraising policy. There are specific criteria for using St. Clair County Child Abuse and Neglect Council’s name and/or logo for fundraising efforts on behalf of our organization which requires approval by the Council prior to utilizing or raising funds on the Council’s behalf.
Make an In-Kind Donation
It takes a great deal of resources to meet the needs of the children and family served through programs offered provided through St. Clair County Child Abuse and Neglect Council. We have compiled a list of items needed below if you would like to support our mission by making an in-kind donation.

Volunteer
St. Clair County Child Abuse and Neglect Council welcomes the active participation of volunteers from all walks of life who support our mission to prevent and ultimately eliminate child abuse and neglect.
Volunteers are needed to assist with fundraising events. For example, our fundraiser Community Roof Sit for Kids’, utilizes hundreds of volunteers during the week-long event. Additionally, our Dinner for Kids’ Sake, a dinner auction held every April utilizes a volunteer committee of fun-loving folks to plan a spectacular evening.

Be An Advocate
The warning signs of child abuse and neglect aren’t always obvious. But by learning to recognize the signs of a problem, you can make a huge difference in a child’s life. Learn how to recognize child abuse and neglect by contacting our prevention coordinator or by browsing resources available on our website.
If you suspect a child has been or is being abused, make a report today by calling Michigan Children’s Protective Services (CPS) at 1-855-444-3911 – any time, day or night.
